Vectrance Energy (VE) aims to become the world’s first company to commercially extract methane hydrates from the seabed and convert them into usable natural gas through its groundbreaking project in the Sultanate of Oman.

In an interview with the Environment Authority, Mr. Kinan Issa, CEO of Vectrance Energy, highlighted the company’s extensive research, which has identified potentially significant methane hydrate deposits beneath Oman’s seabed.

The ambitious project, valued at approximately USD 360 million, is planned to be implemented in multiple phases, marking a significant step toward exploring alternative energy resources and advancing innovative energy technologies.

Demonstrating its commitment to Oman’s economic development and local workforce empowerment, Vectrance Energy aims to achieve 60% Omanisation in its workforce, with the target increasing to 90% during the production phase.

This initiative reflects Vectrance Energy’s vision of driving innovation in the energy sector while contributing to the Sultanate of Oman’s long-term economic diversification and employment opportunities.
